So the last of the clearance rails have been riffled through, all the bargains have been snapped up and new season is arriving – All hail the new season!
With the long awaited January pay day on our horizon you may be thinking about a little Spring splurge. Although the weather has taken a turn for the worse and we’re likely to be wrapped up to our eyeballs for the foreseeable, I personally have already started to collate a few key pieces that will only be making an appearance once the suns out.
One of the big, key SS16 trends is stripes (see below catwalk inspo), now I know that may not sound like anything new, we know the fash pack love a Breton stripe, it’s a classic and everyone has one in their wardrobe, but for Spring/Summer your stripes need to be big and bold. I can already hear cries of how stripes only work if you’re skinny, well fear not because worn the right way, and I’m talking vertically as opposed to horizontally, you’ll find that they can actually elongate you – so don’t rule them out yet.

It’s also a great buy now wear all season trend, hunt out the primary colours for this transitional period, then as soon as Spring is sprung you’ll be able to find pastels and brights galore.
