So it’s mid-week and hump day again, that came around quickly for me, I hope it did for you?
This week I’ve been working with a personal shopping client who is giving her summer wardrobe a big overhaul and our scouting of everything summery, whether online or on the high street has inspired today’s post – Thank you Charlotte!
Easter is fast approaching and some of you may already have a nice little break planned over the half term, or a quick getaway to make the most of the long weekend. My lovely client is off somewhere sunny and warm and so we’ve been looking at all elements of a holiday wardrobe, but the item that took the main focus was skirts.
It’s always easy to get carried away with the credit card when you’re holiday wardrobe shopping, but the (ahem) sensible way to go about this kind of shopping is to consider if it can still in-fact fit into your everyday wardrobe once the tan has faded. Skirts tend to be a main impulse buy that then don’t see the light of day for the other 351 days of the year.
There is something out there for every style, age, occasion and body shape this season. We’re talking mini, midi, maxi, silk, denim, lace, pleats, wrap fronts, tassel detail – you get the picture. Just take a look at the SS16 catwalks and you’ll see how anything goes when it comes to skirts this summer.

All these shapes, styles and details have been picked up by the high street making these catwalk looks one of the easiest and affordable trends to sport this summer. Feeling inspired to get those pins out? Well take a look at my high street hot picks to help highlight those lovely legs.
