Cheers to the freakin’ weekend people, and if you’re lucky enough to be getting dressed up and off out somewhere nice (I’m not bitter just pregnant), and looking for something a little bit special to wear I have the most perfect idea.
Lots of people have recently been asking me for ideas on dresses that are right for Ascot, weddings or christenings and my answer for all of them has been something along the line of super cool London brand Self Portrait.
The brand launched back in 2013 and it’s gained notoriety pretty quickly with celebs, street stylers and fashion insiders all coveting their beautiful dresses and making Self Portrait the go to brand when in need of an eye-catching outfit for that glamorous event. What makes this label even more desirable is the price range, we’re talking normal human being purchases, not black American Express with prices starting around the £150 mark – which you could easily pay for a dress in Toppers.

Self Portrait manages to blend something feminine with urban, sports minimalist with incredible detailing – I don’t know how but I’m definitely not complaining. Now the rest of the high street has picked up on the coolness of laser-cut, lace and mesh details, so you can easily channel the Self Portrait style into every part of your wardrobe.
